Dr. Jheymmy is our Chief of Radiotherapy, and the only Radio Oncologist in the state of Quintana Roo. She specialized in Radio Oncology at the General Hospital in Mexico City.

Medical Oncologist, Specialized in Chemotherapy

Dr. Marineé is Chief of the Chemotherapy department. Hailing from Mexico City's General Hospital where she specialized in Chemotherapy. She is an active member of the Mexican Council of Oncology.

Oncologist Surgeon

He graduated from Guadalajara’s Medical University and specialized himself in oncological surgery at “Fray Antonio Alcalde” Civil Hospital in Guadalajara, Jal.He was an affiliated doctor to the service of oncological surgery at IMSS #17 Regional General Hospital. He is happily married and has a beautiful two-year-old daughter.

Dr. Mariana Revueltas

Pediatrics Oncologist

Doctor Mariana Revueltas graduated from La Salle University in Mexico City and from Mexico’s Children’s Hospital “Federico Gómez”. She is a member of the Mexican Board of Pediatrics Certification and the Mexican Board of Oncology. She is part of our team of Affiliated Specialists and works for MD+Playa in the city of Playa del Carmen. She has participated in investigation protocols and currently collaborates with several charities that support children who suffer from cancer.

Dr. Juan Manuel Valadez

When he is not having a consultation at Cancun Oncology Center, Doctor Juan Manuel works as the Service Chief in the Gynecology and Oncological Gynecology Department of the Secretariat of Health in Playa del Carmen. He graduated from the Mexico City Cancerology National Institute, where he specialized in Gynecological Oncology. He studied General Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and got his specialty in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the O’Hara Hospital in Merida, Yucatan.

Dr. Ana Lilia Franco

Oncologist Gynecologist

Dr. Ana Lilia Franco is a Gynecologist with a subspecialty in Gynecological Oncology. She is a graduate of the Autonomous University of Yucatan and the University Center of Health Sciences of the Jalisco Institute of Cancerology. She works at the UNEME DEDICAM in Cancun, as well as at the Cancun Oncology Center where she focuses on providing diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and cervical cancer patients.

Dr. Raúl Díaz

Born in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Dr. Díaz attended medical school at the prestigious UADY University in Mérida, México. He specialized in Medical Oncology at the 20 de Noviembre ISSSTE Hospital in Mexico City. He was awarded first place in the national Medical Oncology certification exam. He currently works in Cancun’s IMSS Hospital and at the Cancun Oncology Center.

Dr. María Claudia Mallarino is a Medical Oncologist who was born in Colombia, and acquired vast experience in oncological treatments at Florida Cancer Specialists, Sarasota, USA. She graduated from the Colombian Medical-Military School and later she made her residency and doctoral degree at Oncology University of Stanford. She was an Oncology deputy professor at the Texas Tech University.

Prof. David A. Larson

Radio Oncologist

Professor David A. Larson, MD, PhD, is an expert with great international recognition in the field of brain and body radiosurgery. Dr. Larson is the author of more than 200 medical articles, several scientific reviews and book chapters; at the same time he collaborates with the editorial committee of countless medical magazines. Dr. Larson was president of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. In present days he is an Oncology Professor for the University of California in San Francisco.

Dr. Richard L. Weiner

Radio Neurosurgeon

Dr. Richard L. Weiner, MD, FACS is a member of the Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine Association, and works at the Dallas Presbyterian Hospital. He is an associate professor of the Texas University Medical Center. Dr. Weiner is an expert in treatments with SNC microsurgery and bone marrow, in addition to vascular neurosurgery. Currently his main practice is based on stereotaxic radiosurgery (Gamma Knife), multimodal treatment of brain malignant and benign tumors, and surgery in diseases of the cervical and thoracic bone marrow.

Prof. Christer Lindquist

Radio Neurosurgeon

Dr. Christer Lindquist, MD, PhD is a neurosurgeon who was trained at the Texas University and the Karolinska Institute. Prof. Lars Leksell and Prof. Ladislau Steiner were his teachers. He was chief of services for the Gamma Knife Center, and Neurosurgery professor and chief of course at the New England Gamma Knife Center in Brown University, England. Professor Lindquist is founder and president of the Leksell Gamma Knife Society, and president of the International Society of Radiosurgery (ISRS). Today he is the medical director of the Cromwell Gamma Knife Center in London, England.
